Use when

• Use as the open value vocabulary for the IP-right-kind axis — the right(s) a statement concerns (copyright, trademark, patent, moral rights, database right, …), referenced via gmeow:rightsType.

Avoid when

• Avoid minting per-kind subclasses (right kinds are individuals, Principle 9) and avoid using it for the standing of a right, which is gmeow:copyrightStatus / gmeow:trademarkStatus.

How to use

• Reference a seeded value (gmeow:rightsTypeCopyright, gmeow:rightsTypeTrademark, …) from gmeow:rightsType; the values are linked to Wikidata / WIPO by reference, and a new kind is a fresh individual.
